At McCrea Heating & Air Conditioning, we believe in giving back to the community we serve. That’s why we started the Rebecca Alt Lanhardt Foundation, a charity that supports a variety of local organizations that help those in need.
After Rebecca’s passing from ovarian cancer, McCrea wanted to keep her memory alive through charitable events and activities in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. In just a few years, the foundation has raised roughly $500,000 for:
- Local food banks
- Veteran organizations
- Scholarship programs
- Cancer charities
- The Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance
- And more
The foundation also supports All In For Miller, a charity focused on fighting pediatric cancer.
Annual McCrea Invitational Charity Golf Tournament
Every year, McCrea hosts a charity golf tournament for the Rebecca Alt Lanhardt Foundation. This event raises money for several local charitable organizations and programs.
The 2024 golf tournament will be held at 11:00 am on Sept. 23 at the Creighton Farms golf course in Aldie, VA.
The event will feature:
- Registration begins at 10:00 am
- Handicap shamble format
- Silent auction items, raffles, and door prizes
- On-course games and contests
- Chik-Fil-A lunch and after-golf dinner
- Remax Long Drive Entertainer hitting 400 yard tee balls
- All food and beverages included
